My current life goal is to win a KitchenAid mixer from the frequent sweepstakes that The Pioneer Woman has on her website. I'm too shy to ask for one for a birthday/Christmas present, and I could probably purchase one myself, but I also never win things. Currently, I have about the same chance of winning a mixer as I do getting married in the next five minutes: zero. I think the last thing I won was in elementary school, when I was a Denver Post Colorado Kid. While that beach towel WAS pretty awesome, and I did get my name in the paper, it was neither useful or made in the USA.
Pioneer Woman's had some mixers that have been very interesting colors, but since I have no house and therefore no kitchen of my own, I'm pretty sure that any color would do at this point. In fact, I would have even taken the BRIGHT yellow one that she had a few weeks ago. Hey, I could have even planned my future kitchen around that yellow appliance of loveliness. Would I start baking more if I had my own mixer? Of course I would! My friends could enjoy cupcakes and cakes and bread and fluffy mashed potatoes practically weekly. We could all be fat and happy with chocolate all over our faces.
My current life goal will be most likely dashed tomorrow morning. Until then, I'm boarding a train...
